Thats OK, because if you have all that shopping in one carrier bag it will split before you have left the shop, and all of your shopping will be on the floor anyway. :D

True but I had another carrier bag in my other hand that only contained a news paper.

I still don't like 'other people' packing my carrier bags, they always seem to over estimate what they can contain.

They also seem to be trained to put all the heavy things in one bag and the light things in the other!

I have a Trolley dolly bag and it's absolutely BRILLIANT!!! I felt so guilty spending £25 on myself - on something I struggled to convince myself I really "needed" but thought sod it, I penny pinch in every possible way, I really should be using reusable bags but never remember to take them with me, so I'll just buy it. Not disappointed - getting green Tesco points by the bucket load for taking my own bags, it has a place to keep all my MOCs so I don't lose or forget them, and it looks funky.
Only problem is, I want to get my friend one for her birthday but they're out of stock cos the demand was so high! I've reserved one of the new ones for when they come in. Great invention and one I'll use forever
  • i want an MSE one.....................go on Martin-we'd use it with pride!!!
Could be a good one off charity gig...id pay £2 for one (does that sound stingy!!???)
    it takes more energy
    to hate than to love...
    love and relax!

I bought some things at B&Q in Lancaster today. I was asked if I needed any bags but said I didn't need them as I had my car with me. He then said that the staff have been told to get rid of as many as possible as they are getting some new ones in. I said that didn't make sense and they should just use the old style until they run out and then use the new ones. I was told that wouldn't work as they are going to charge for the new ones! So in the meantime they are having a push to get rid of the old ones as quickly as possible!! I was speechless, this seems to totally go against current thinking on carrier bags. I should have taken some really as we recycle them as bin liners and it would have been better than them just being wasted.
