An Idea Re-useable Carrier Bags

Hi peeps I wish we could get re-useable carrier bags with the www.MoneySavingExpert.com slogon on it. As I have a car sticker and proud of it. I think this site is more than a money saving site it's a family friend.
It could be a good ruse to get the message out about the site and could raise money for a good cause as well.
I think it's and good idea at this time I would buy them.:T

The problem is most other people won't buy them.
My local Somerfield give away reusable "bags for life". They give you one in exchange for 5 used carrier bags, any carrier bags.
I shop there 6 times a week but have never seen anyone using them!
I really think some people prefer the ordinary carrier bags as they can use them for other things once they get them home.0 -
I have to get carrier bags as my council takes away tins and plastic but only if they're wrapped in carrier bags! Nuts!0

I think it a brill idea ...come on Martin Eco friendly shopping bags:mad: 13 billion plastic carrier bags are used in the UK each year :mad:0

Hm. See I see people using cloth bags frequently. The '"bags for life" at our Somerfield (also Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Budgens) are just heavy plastic ones. Is it something different near you?geordie_joe wrote: »The problem is most other people won't buy them.

No, they are just normal "bags for life" but they are almost free. You just take in any 5 carrier bags and they swap them for a bag for life.
I know they are not the perfect solution, but they are better than using the free ones.0 -
You could always make your self one http://www.morsbags.com/baganimation.html then put on an iron transfer with martin's face or the like.0

If anyone wants to do this, I would recommend that you contact the team to ask for advice before using Martins face or any of the MSE site logos, as it would be a breach of copyright otherwise

What, has Martin copyrighted his face? :rotfl:
Seriously though, you are right and people shouldn't do it unless they have permission on paper.0 -

Sorry never thought about this.
I suppose you could make a plastic pocket from a document holder and pop in a car sticker and sew on the bag but aslong as you don't use a plastic bag it doesn't really matter.0 -
i use my tesco ' the big green' or small bags for my daily shopping, if the shops dont like them where i shop, then perhaps they need to think about bringing out their own, rather than trying to make money from plastic bags which we're all trying to boycott, i also like the idea tesco give us back green points for re-using bags too0
