Barclaycard took my Maestro payment twice

Can anyone help with my legal rights???
I made a payment using my Maestro card and Barclaycard took the payment twice.

Hi

This kind of mistake happens all the time when you click the pay button twice (by mistake). There's nothing to worry as your Barclaycard will be in credit. You can either leave the money (and pay none or less on your next statement) in the Barclaycard or call them to ask for a refund (by cheque).

I've just noticed exactly the same thing with my Barclaycard. I made the payment using my Maestro on 13/03 and on the 14th they had taken 2 lots from my account (one at 2.01pm and one at 2.03pm).

I didn't press the pay button twice but I did check the online access log within the Barclaycard website and it shows that I made the payment at 2.01pm but there was a failed payment at 3.03pm. Not sure how that happened as I didn't attempt a payment later. I have checked with Barclaycard CS and there isn't a duplicated payment on my account.

They have promised to look into it and someone will call me back within 7 - 10 days. The payment I made cleared my balance so I wonder if they'll pay me interest...:rotfl:
