Does anyonme know how I can bank the cashback earned on an AmEx credit card after 3 months since they state that cashback is paid on anniversary of opening? Do i need to leave it open until then?

Yes you need to leave it open.
If you close the card you lose the cashback.
There is no way to get it early.

thanks for that, there's always a small catch isn't there!0

I nearly made the same mistake but fortunately I noticed the small print before closing my account and losing my cashback - be warned, read the conditions first!0

You need to leave it open, however there's nothing stopping you from reducing the limit on the card if you're not going to use it, but after the 3 months, it can still earn you more than 1% cashback if you use it enough.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0
