I need to add a computer to my wifi but I need the WAP details. Can I get them from one of the computers already connected or do I have to logon to the Netgear DG834GT router. If so what are the default login details as I cant find the booklet.

Input your user name "admin" (these are standard on netgear unless you have changed yourself)
and password "password"..again standard login unless you changed the password to something of your own choice
login stuff on a sticker on the bottom of your router as well usuallyWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Hi misterthrifty,
it depends on the wireless client being used on the laptops as to whether the password is stored in "plain text" (readable) or not (starred).
Probably the easiest way is to log into your Netgear router. That is a very common device so there should be plenty of helpful information about on the internet on how to do this.
The default address for your router is http://192.168.0.1 and philnicandamy has provided you with the default login credentials.
Good Luck
