Is there any particular reason that you want a BT wireless router? Virtually any wireless router e.g. here will allow you to use wireless. I certainly would not pay BT for a Home Hub! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Beware of BT - I switched to paperless phone billing - they should send an email bill / request for payment - they never did so I am 2 x £12 down. (Their late payment charges for two quarters - which at £12 are about a third of my quarterly bill). Their customer service is terrible also. Good luck - buyer beware!!!0

I have a lap top and have just got broadband -
FIrstly, do you have sky tv. If so you can get broadband for £5 per month! That is what I got. I was going to go with BT but they were something like £14.99 per month and £8.99 for the first few months (figures may vary slightly on this) plus you had to pay for rerouter etc. Sky had 3 levels depending on your down load. They also sent me the broadline equipment in 3 day and then phoned me a few days later saying I could start connecting
I am not a tekki at all but even I managed to get my broadband connected. (lots of wires!!) not gone wireless as I need a "bit" for my laptop but as I am not taking my lap top anywhere then that is not a problem. The only thing is that I installed the disc and that seemed to take 1 hr and then called the help line to tweak the co mputer slightly.
The first few times it took 10 mins to get on line and now instant.
The speed is great etc.
So shop around. BT is very dear I even wrote to the Chairman to ask for a discount - no luck!!
So check your cable company if you have one.0 -

Have you checked if you can get O2 Broadband? They're offering broadband for £12.50/month (or £10.83/month if you top up an O2 PAYG phone with £10 every 3 months) and they give you a free ADSL2+ wireless router.
The true cost of something is what you give up to get it.0
