Wedding rings..

I got my engagement ring from a jewellers in town that only stock rings that are a one off for x amount of years depending what they are..they tend to have one off pieces and i have been looking at a wedding band for ages as it comliments my ring at the mo.
So went in yesterday to see the man, he took 3 out of the window the one i liked most the last, one was plain, one had a small diamond in and the one i liked was the cheapest! BUT none of them looked right and im now lost as to what to do!
Do you see something and know it's right and then it isn't!! Out of them all i did like the diamond one so will have to take df down as im so indecisive!

I also went with Smooch after it was recommended on here. Even if you dont buy from them, its nice to sit in your own home and try on lots of different styles. I always felt really under pressure and stressed in shops. I had the picture of my perfect ring in my mind, but when i tried it on it just didnt look right. With Smooch, I could just keep on trying them on until i found 'the one'.

My ring wasn't even in the wedding ring section of the jewellers. It was in the dress ring section. It's also only about 1 mm wide it's just a simple platinum twist, but it's just what I wanted.

Once you see the right ring it's obvious.

I only wear my engagement ring on special occasions, and because it's white gold I wear it on the other hand.

A wedding ring you wear all the time, I know I'm old fashioned but it used to be that you never take your wedding ring off, so it needs to be practical too.

Best wishes for the wedding preparations.

Re: wearing your ring all the time. My Auntie did, she even slept in it. After over 20yrs of marriage she had to have it surgically removed because her skin had grown over it.......!!!!

I wear my engagement solitaire everynight to bed... I wouldn't dream of taking it off nor my wedding ring which is why I am having the wedding ring made to fit the slightly unusual shape of the engagement ring... :)
Only time mine comes off is when I wash my hair... it gets caught up otherwise :) (or if I'm baking or cleaning)

My mum always told me to wear my rings all the time, and never to take them off to wash my hands - she had found several rings beside the washbasin in their office's Ladies loos.....

We went looking at wedding rings last weekend, found a style we both like and will got with the engagement ring. It worked out to about £300 for the pair but we're going to pop to Birmingham jewelry quarter and see if we can get them made up cheaper in one of the small shops.
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • I have been hunting around the shops for a diamond wedding ring for my wedding this Summer. I wanted square diamonds all the way round the ring. A work mate recommended a website, serendipity diamonds, who had exactly the ring I wanted. I paid £875.00 for just under 1ct of diamonds. I saw the same thing out the other day for £1800.00 shock!!

Anyway, this is my diamond wedding ring.
