in fact Erin is going to out of school club for the 2 weeks of easter holidays, although i'm off work on Easter monday i was considering letting her go on the monday too....... but i kept her off purely cause it's £20 a day! rather than for good mother reasons!
(that and the fact that i'm away for saturday and easter sunday on this hen night - (i know i keep bringing it up, i'm excited!!!) so will have to do some easter egg-y things on the monday instead.)
Edit: so love your sig Bunny!! how apt!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Hi Bunny!
Nooo hun, you mustn't feel guilty - I am sad because the only time I have been away from my daughter for longer than about an hour was at your house, and I was drunk then!
Once I get used to it, I too will be doing the 'freedom' dance down the path."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I've got my 5 year old DD with me today, she has a fever so I thought it better to keep her off school.
she's perky enough though.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
hi all, just caught up with the thread - 5 pages already - you are a chattery little lot today!
Survived Day 2. Boss was on a First Aid course this morning so we had a quick 30 minutes together first thing and then she left. I had a couple of letters to do and some minutes and was then told to have a look around one of the systems used. I must have done the 2 letters about 4 times - it is years since I did typed letters and was still feeling nervous, I forgot to put an address on, then I couldn't fit it on the headed paper, then I saw the address was double line space!! Oh well, the manager I've done it all for will be seeing for the first time so won't know the 'aarrgggh' I was going through!!!"Stay Wonky":D

Keren, that sounds like how I am every day at work hun!
I'm glad it's going okay though, how are you feeling being back in the big wide world? Are you coping okay, battles with computers aside?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
It's going ok (so far!), everyone is really nice and I must have had about 6 people ask me how it is going today as I passed them in the corridor. It is like working for a small company rather than being part of a large authority because we are in a building a couple of miles away from the civic centre.
I emailed 2 colleagues I was friends with last time I was working for the authority and I've heard back from one (she was my manager when I last left). I was going 'aaaaaarghhhh' inside when re-doing the letters but trying to stay swan-like on the surface!! I think I was just panicking as I was so used to everthing I did being chucked back in my face, but if the letters aren't ok, I'm sure I'll be shown how they should be set out and if the minutes aren't ok (it was all acronyms although I managed to work out the names form a list I had!) then I'm sure I'll be forgiven!
I have to keep remembering - it isn't going to be like my last job!
Have to also confess, I'm glad to be back hidden away in the house again until tomorrow, I guess that will start to pass with time."Stay Wonky":D

Well Keren,
I've been in my job 2 weeks and just had an argument with my boss!
He is like a bluddy teenager-knows everything and won't listen to anyone else...
I'm supposed to read his mind-and well, frankly, I lost my cool a bit...(Don't mess with a woman with PMT!)
I like to know what I'm supposed to be doing and tbh, half the time im not sure what that is!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Heylo! OH said it went well, will find out next Tues, fingers crossed. He really wants it and is willing to postpone our holiday to France if he gets it (he didn't tell them about it in interview - April 12-19) which i'm in support of (begrudgingly!) xx0
