When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

I am doing very little, very tired today after unexpected mad dash about yesterday.
Airer dried clothes

Walk to clubs later
Checked banking 4 times, they keep adding things?!?!
Cancelled a SO that was due to go out tomorrow, not urgent so it can wait til next week.
Managed to get my phone bill down for 3rd month in a row
Updated £10 a day spreadsheet and redid sig to show current totals.
Checked for MS, none again, damn you GRG!
Thank thats it!
Doh, forgot that I also need to go through mysupermarket later to check who is cheapest for shopping tomorrow.0 -
I found that buying a Senseo coffee machine saved me loads on Starbucks / Costa etc...
It even came with a free pack of pods!

Hi Angel,

Hey that's the point of MSE. Everyone can join in on everything pretty much. We're all in the same boat or have been at one point or another. I think you just have to get stuck in really. Have you posted an SOA? see the sticky at the top of the thread for newbies - then we can see if we can spot any savings for you.
