Looking for a long term deal on credit card debt

I was this morning (19/3/08) reading Martins article on shifting debt long term, from one credit card to another, I currently am carrying a significant debt with one company Virgin, who I have been having (all in all) an extremely rough and stormy ride with, currently I'm paying far to much interest on a monthly basis, and I was attracted by the article regarding the Citi card and its offer of 5.8% life of balance transfer. Does anybody have experience with this company? I have applied for the card "on~line" and who knows I probably will be declined anyway, but I have not yet asked for the balance transfer, and MArtins most recent article seems to clearly indicate, that you have 90 days in which to apply for the B/T once the card has been opened, however who knows in these current times it will probably be my luck to get the card, but then to find the 90 day offer for balance transfers has been ceased????????

There's a full list of LOB cards on the stoozing site: http://www.stoozing.com/lob.htm

There are cards with lower interest than 5.8%, but the "LOB" period may not be as long.

Keep a note of it incase you don't get a credit limit high enough to take the full balance from your current card.

Have you also looked into 0% BT cards to maybe help you out over the short term?
