Locating Canon Mp210 serial number?

Can anyone help me locate the darn serial number on my sisters printer? Nothing on the box and the bottom of the printer has loads of numbers on it but nothing to say which is the serial number. The one which looks most likely looks like QC2-****-DB02-02

I've heard that it's written ona label near the printer heads but as the printer is at my sisters I cannot confirm. Can someone confirm this so I can claim my cashback?

PS. I feel like a right dolls head

    Hi. I have just bought a Canon printer. Not a MP210 but a iP4500.
The serial number for that is indeed near the printhead.
This picture from the Canon website indicates the general area.
In my case it was also on the box label... No de serie ABCD12345 (four numbers followed by five figures - maybe different for a different model though).

  • The serial number on the MP210 is hidden by the white lead going to the print heads if you look for it with the power off (which is what the manual tells you to do). Open the printer with the power on - so that the print heads move to the cartridge exchange position and you will see it at once. This printer is currently £34.14 including delivery at Amazon, So with £20 cashback you get a scanner/photocopier/inkjet printer for £14-41 including delivery.

having just bought the Pixma IP 4500 .
I have found best price for genuine Canon is from Photoglossy.com . The five i need retail at £45 and i purchased for £35 delivered from Channel Islands so VAT free.
I have also ordered a set of InkSwiss compatible cartridges to try from https://www.ink.co.uk plus a set of cleaning cartridges delivered for £10-05 individual cartridges start from 37 p.
One point to note compatibles vary in the quality of ink make by make as do photo papers . The experts say you should profile each ink and paper for proper results in the printer driver . If the paper or ink you are using produces to green a photo then you adjust the CMYK sliders in the printer driver and save the profile .

Another twenty quid and i would have bought a new printer
Printer cheapest on Ebuyer £61 printed off with second highest price Amazon and ASKED Currys as first port of call will you price match . They did so sves paying delivery or waiting for free delivery.
