Oh come now, is that really a reason not to have a "grouphug" :grouphug:PasturesNew wrote: »I did too. Well, did one
Other one was ginger."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.

excellent he probably thought he had left something worthwhile behind...Still one mans junk and all that..0

My sister had a similar problem!
They picked up the keys, went round to the house and it was full of junk! Looked like the previous owner had taken everything that was worth something and left the rest. The EA and solicitors got involved and the agreement reached was to split the cost of a skip between them and then the previous owner disappeared!
In the end they did it themselves and found an old wallet with £80 in old notes in it (lost a while ago and forgotten about i expect), it paid for the skip! No other treasure though.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
I am glad you stuck by your guns

Too many people just bend over and take it these days!0 -
This happened to me - got in contact with my solicitors and ended up with a cheque for £100 to get it cleared.0

For anyone buying, a suggestion....
If you can, and I know it isn't often easy to do this - it is good to try to get to the house before the seller has moved out - then you can say "You are going to remove that stuff aren't you...you said you would..."
Problem is that it isn't always practical to do that, and sellers feel that the buyer coming in the house before they have moved out gets in their way etc. However, sometimes it is worth trying.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
Freecycle it rather than pay for a skip. This is only after attempting to get them to remove it.0
