Which car?

Thinking about buying a new car - small family size probably - and looking for advice on what's a good moneysaving buy - cheap to run, insure & tax but still nice standard of comfort. Any advice anyone? Doesn't need to have large engine - current car is 1.2 litre & that's been fine.

    Keep current car?

Under £1000 section of autotrader? (Bangernomics)

Those are the ultimate moneysaving approaches to motoring IMO. You can't save £6,000 on fuel, insurance and tax, but you can on the car itself. It's amazing what a grand can buy you if you spend plenty of time looking :)
