I've moved my 14ich TV upto a wall bracket and now the picture is slightly pink

Hi,
I have moved my 14inch TV up to a wall bracket with electrical sockets directly behind and the picture has immediately developed a pink tinge.
From some very basic searches on google this may be as a direct result of a magnetic field.
My wife is now jumping up and down telling me to sort out the picture - can anyone help?
Best wishes

Any loud speakers near the tv? If not it should go after a while, and a few power cycles.

The magnetic field is possibly caused by your sockets behind your tv.
A magnetic field is caused by electric current flowing. Field strength decreases with distance from the source.

Just checking - are you watching tv using a freeview box connected with a scart socket? Make sure the scart cable is plugged in good a proper.
  • hi,
    thanks for the replies
i did check all the scart leads (running a video and sky box to the tv)
it is def the tv as I have eliminated and checked everything else.
I turned it on this morning and the pink has lessened but it is still evident
i just hope that over time it will diminish
    kind regards

Looks like the TV always stood in a magnetic field and may still do, but at a different angle. Larger TVs have a 'degaussing' function that should clear away the colouration.

It should degauss when you switch it on, note that this is different to turning it on from standby.

As suggested above, a few cycles should sort this out.
