Apple Student/Staff Discount

Hi guys.

I know this thread is a little repetitive but here goes anyway...

I'm looking to buy a macbook under my HE discount (I'm a uni student, and I work voluntarily at a HE institution!).

Does anybody know if the discount is higher if I buy as a Uni student, or as a HE employee?

I also wanted to know whether staff get a higher rate of discount than the HE discounts? If so then, maybe (just, maybe) I can go to an Apple store and convince one of the members of staff to give me a discount! - Although that's probably not likely as i've heard that they only get a certain number of discounts a year... unless! (idea!) anyone here works for Apple... and is willing to give up a discount notch for a poor student writing a dissertation with a broken laptop, urgently in need of a new one???!

Sorry, back to the original points:
- Is the uni discount higher than the HE institution discount (or vice versa)
- Is the staff discount higher than the above? (and is anyone kind enough to offer me their staff discount if it is!)

Hi, I don't know the answer with regards to the exact discounts, but you can view the prices by going to http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore/ and selecting Education store in the left hand menu.

It may still be worth shopping around though. I managed to get myself the middle macbook (the newer release) for £695 after discounts and cashback offers.

Use Quidco and hotdealsuk to see whats on offer.

We got 15% from a store at the beginning of last October and cashback on an Ipod - it may have been a better offer for the new crop of students.
