I've been sent some correspondance from M&S about a balance transfer offer of 3.9% for the life of the balance, has anyone taken them up on this offer, or does anyone know what the fee is for the b/t, or whether it is fee free?
pls help, I can't get any sense out of the overseas call centre!!!!!

According to this Martin's new table and to http://www.stoozing.com/0fees.htm - no BT fees.0

Thanks for that, reason I ask is because I rang Virgin at the weekend as I was shopping for t/fr rates, as I thought they were b/t fee free, as in Martins article, but it seems that on existing cardholder b/ts they tried to charge me a 2% fee on top of 4.9% b/t offer for 6 months. I was obviously surprised, as this contradicted martins article, so it must just be for newbies or the lucky ones NOT ME!0

That BT fee doesn't contradict Martin. If you look at Martin's table you will see Virgin only offer free BTs during the initial 9 months offer. After that they will charge.0

Thanks for clearing that up, do you know what they do charge or is it usually 2% across the board?0

Do you have an offer code on your letter? Something starting with KS?
Thanks in advance.

I have taken advantage of M&S 3.9% for the life of the balance offer twice.
I transferred an initial balance fee free, then 6 months later when I realised the offer was still open to me, I asked for a credit limit increase and balance transferred again, still fee free.0
