  • There does not seem to be a link to this page on ings site or on kaupthing but it has some of the best answers to some of the above. (I found it by serendipity.)

i.e. As I said before Quote Those customers with deposits in a Fixed Term Savings product can be assured that these rates will be honoured by ING Direct.
    and
Quote In addition to the payments already made, we are now able to confirm that all payments will arrive in their destination bank account by close of business Friday 17 October.

Latest news for Kaupthing Edge customers. View updates here
For some reason I can't manage to copy the correct link to here? But if you Google "kaupthing edge" then you will see the link that looks like www.ingdirect.co.uk/Kaupthing and thats it

  • Withdrew savings from Kaupthing Edge last wednesday 8th Oct. Balance was adjusted instantly to £0.00. Still waiting for it to appear in my linked account. So frustrating and worrying having to wait when linked account is close to being overdrawn.
Hope ING is true to their word when they say all transactions will be completed by close of business on Friday.

    Minor's Accounts.
Would the childrens (minors) accounts be safeguarded if they are below the value of £50,000 in a particular bank or will they not be covered if the parents also have a similar amount in the same bank. Thanks for any advice.

Can anybody clarify the time of closing for banking business.
I transferred £10,000 + on 09/10/08 to ICICI bank and it still hasn't arrived.
I have just checked at 16.00hrs.I am beginning to feel a little bit panicky now

Well over the past week, I have just transferred OUT of ICICI bank £12000 (successfully) "just in case". If you sent funds to them, I would check with your own (linked) bank initially.
