At a time when surely the government could do with an influx of money, why have Northern Rock closed their savings account to new members? I cannot understand the logic?
Not according to their website. The deposit range appears listed as normal. Dont a quick google search and no reports of them closing for new business. Where is your source for that news?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Just seems odd that even if they are re-launching the product, surely they wouldn't want downtime between them!0

Just seems odd that even if they are re-launching the product, surely they wouldn't want downtime between them!E-Saver Issue 2 The current issue of our E-Saver account is no longer available to new customers (existing E-Saver customers can still make additional deposits up to the maximum deposit limit).
We will be launching E-Saver Issue 2 shortly. If you would like us to email you when E-Saver Issue 2 is available, please register your interest below and we will contact you when the product is launched.0 -
Anyone want to have a punt that the rate on issue 2 will be lower than their current one which was recently reduced from 6% to 5.75%?Liquidity is when you look at your investment portfolio and **** your pants0
