I am glad to see Labour's continual screw-ups! That makes it easier for Cameron to take the seat of leadership in the next general election.

Can anybody help me out?
At the moment I am earning £9000 ish, therefore I should receive the money back that they are talking about. However, from September I am going to Uni, does this mean that I won't get any money back at all, because I won't have a pay packet anymore?
Hope someone can help me out,
Thanks

Do what everyone should do - vote at the next election. If everyone thinks my vote won't make a difference, and only 40% of tghe population bother, we won't change anything.
I earn £45000 so am better off, but my partner, earns £9500 part time, so is worse off. Overall, we are worse off. Not sure if the chancellors latest gimmick will make any difference or not.

You will possibly have to write to the inland revenue in April next year to claim your overpaid tax back. You should get you P45/P60 which will show the amounts you have paid, use a free website like the 'listentotaxman' one, to see what you should have paid on your earnings, then claim the rest back.

Still not impressed through no fault of our own my husband is working part time desperately trying to find full time employment0 and he is in the low pay band . The Labour Party will still not be privy to my vote
Work hard and reap the benefits, not in this country it is work hard, save and then when things go wrong use your own savings and hard look. Yes, we are lucky to have savings but only through being (dare I use the word) prudent and doing without things all through our life0 -
What's the betting that come the next budget, next year's personal allowance increases will be minsucule to claw back what has just been given - or am I just being cynical?7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0

How long have we heard Labour talking about raising taxes to benefit the poor? Now we see that this has been a load of rubbish from the beginning!
We see that they care nothing for the poor and are merely thieves who are in charge of the public finances and are used to taking some for themselves.0 -

Im shocked every month on how much tax I pay for basically nothing back.
I cant believe how much fuss has been made over this nothing 10% tax band, so now the Government has done another big u-turn and given people £10 a month back. So what. I probably pay around £700 a month direct taxation, add VAT to that , fuel duty and other stealth taxes and its probably nearer £1000 a month.
So Ive got 1% back..... How is the significant?0
