British Gas Offering Price Tracker Bills

Had a British Gas salesmen knock on my door and was offered a deal where they would be 2% cheaper, then the cheapest supplier for the next 2 years. They will monitor all there rivals prices and will change your bill accordingly.

Also as British Gas do not charge, a standing charge on the Meters, they will take the cheapest price for the electric from rivals that charge a standing charge which attracts a lower price anyway.

This deal has only just come out, and it will not be offered on the internet or to everyone. It seems like they are ‘cherry picking’ customers which have a good credit rating and pay by direct debit.

This seem like a cracking deal as you will save at least £50+ a year due to not having to pay the standing meter charge :)

I have signed up for it, will keep you posted.

If anyone had anymore info on this, then please post

I'm sorry, but this has to be the biggest load of rubbish (i'm toning it down) i have ever heard.

Have you not heard of their recent price rise (check out the earlier threads).

As for the NO STANDING CHARGE tariff... you may be saving the standing charge but what about the huge premier tier that you pay.

All companies do a nsc tariff and most promote it in the same way.

But thankyou for your post, i was feeling a bit off today and this has cheered me up no end.

Was going to have a rest from chat. ;D Opinion on Tracker similar to loon :) But - just take your own actual annual Kws for gas and elect. and multiply by cost/kw for gas and elect., add st. charge if not hidden in kw charge, all published by the different suppliers, and the result is your annual cost.  DO NOT listen to their estimates.  BG (like BT) avoid unless you wish to tear up your valuable taxed earnings. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
The moving finger, having writ, moved on.
