Anyone heard of Home Save Energy?

They are calling me up saying I can save with their online only tariffs.

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of them and whether they are worth looking at.

It looks just like a switching site. It gives no information about the company. I would steer clear of it personaly.

They are claiming that they can offer you 'online tarriffs' that the suppliers don't themselves advertise. Sounds a iffy to me.

Think I will just leave it. Too much hassle and might be all it is being cracked up to be.

Not giving much away about their company is a big turn-off

I have changed with this company and everything went well. I was not told they offer "online tarriffs" that the suppliers don't. They advised me they are independant and that they could get me the best price for my area, and when I checked this out, they were spot on. I would not hesitate to use them again.They introduced them selves as energylinx home save. I have just noticed there is a link at the top of the page to there web site!! Cant be too bad then!!! energylinx. This is the site that homesaveenergy.co.uk use.

Interesting that you just join MSE and your first post is to sing the praises of a company.

I hope you will forgive our suspicious minds on this forum; but we get post after post like this that are simply SPAM.

Seriously though, they're just a price comparison site. They use the Energylinx system, which is the same price comparison system that ASDA uses, so it's pretty reputable. As far as the confusion on the finding non-advertised prices goes, as far as I'm aware they use your postcode to find out what the local rates for you are. Sometimes there are cheaper local rates that aren't as well advertised as the national ones which Energylinx has in their database.

And in case anyone is wondering, I worked as a contractor on their website a while back, hence why I've heard a bit about their system.
