Obviously getting on a bit and making mistakes - unlike PBA's crime which is of course Onanism. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Given that BA have an APPALLING record for losing people's bags - I know, I fly with them a lot - it's a bit rich to start throwing accusations around!!0

shere1,
To avoid any confusion, I purchased some of these labels, they cost pennies and they ensure that you can easily identify your own luggage when you collect it from baggage reclaim.

:rotfl:I am assuming you are joking.
A friend of mine was arrested by the police at Delhi airport on the basis that his name and that of his father matched that of someone wanted for murder. Poor guy spent a few days locked up before the police bothered to look at his date of birth etc to see it differed from the murder suspects..0 -
Last year my brother took by mistake someone else's identical suitcase from the luggage store room in their hotel in Tenerife. They didn't discover that it was the wrong case until they arrived home - their own case was still in the hotel in Tenerife. He had to fly back to Tenerife with the suitcase and get a taxi to the hotel, all at his own expense - the case was massive and v heavy so it was cheaper to go back in person to swap them than pay postage. The package holiday company weren't interested, it was his mistake and he had to sort it out. I think your parents have been lucky, despite BA's snide and unnecessary comments.0

Thanks Tojo.
Handy to warn bag checkers of my odorous underpants after a long sweaty holiday.:D

buyitall I can't imagine why your brother didn't leave his outbound baggage tags on the cases - in which case the confusion wouldn't have arisen. There's no reason to take them off until the return trip, surely?0

I have absolutely no idea!! All I know is that I got lumbered with taking him to the airport!
He was with his wife and 2 kids, they had 2 identical massive navy suitcases, but by sheer bad luck someone else in the hotel also had the same one and was also storing it in the luggage room while waiting for airport transfers.0 -
You may not do this if you own a Louis Vuitton case :money: , but my dad uses a 50p Pentel marker to write his initial and surname on the outside of the case in big letters and some 99p Wilkinson nylon rope tied around the case. You can spot it a mile off on the baggage carousel :eek:Founder member MSE Jet Airways Mile High Club
