Ive sold a bra, lipstick and 2 eyeshadows on ebay (seperate buyers) and was wondering as they weigh very little if i can send them as a normal letter with just a 'large' stamp on?
when i put the weight into the royal mail thingy it says 92p to post a lipstick 2nd class  yet i bought a lipstick the other week and it only cost the seller 48p to send 1st class
thanks x
EDIT: Just checked prices for the lipstick as a large letter and 1st class postage is 48p so looks like thats what that seller has done and it got to me fine?

It's all about the thickness of the package - less about the weight now.
If the package is thicker than 25mm, it's a packet, and will work out more expensive than a large letter. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
thankyou, the eyeshadows and bra are less thick than 25mm so im guessing they'll be ok as a large letter?'They only had one cow!'0

I sell a few bras and in a padded envelope they tend to just creep into the packet category rather than large letter. It is only the unwired basic cotton bras that I can get through as a large letter.
My Post office is a meanie though so yours might be better. Anyway, you say you've sold them already so just take them to the post office and they will let you know..and don't forget your certificate of posting in case of loss en route.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
