Alloy wheels.......puzzled
Options
Can anyone tell me what metal alloy is used for 'alloy wheels'.
How does the metal composition differ from ordinary car wheels?
Why are they called 'alloy wheels' when both types are clearly a metal alloy material anyway?
I'm puzzled as to why they are called 'alloy wheels'.

normal wheels are steel, alloy wheels are a lightweight alloy (normally an aluminum alloy, but sometimes a magnesium alloy). reduces weight of the car, and therefore improves acceleration, braking, handling and fuel perfomance.if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.0
