We have got ours here in Lincolshire and it is now £965 for the year (band A). This is an astounding increase of a whopping 11.3% As I live in an area which literally has nothing in the way of amenities and stuff to do, I really think that this is appauling.
I have just checked London borough of Lambeth and a band A property is £823.41 for the coming year.Loving the dtd thread. x0 -

I haven't had mine yet, but I am not looking forward to it as it ha never failed to go up yet. When I moved into this house the rates (which were replaced by council tax for you young ones) were £120 per year. Last year the council tax was £120 per month !!! only band bAnyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

The house we are buying is in Band A, which in Leeds will be £825 (ish) according to the councils website. Obviously, not thrilled to have to pay all that money out, but its less than what I budgetted for, so quite pleased on that front.0
