Help canceling BT talk plan

Hi,

Can anyone help?

I have had line rental from BT for the last year and in Jan i got a call from a very pushy british salesman who said he could save me money by upping my call plan, he promised i'd get free calls and a package to suit me, however when the paperwork arrived i realised this wasn't the case at all and they had put me onto the BT call plan option3 that was free for 3 months and then £16 per month there after. I immediately cancelled this with the BT india call centre, only to see this month that i had been billed for the Option3 package.

I have since contacted them and they responded saying that i signed up to the new plan on the 9th of Jan - cancelled on the 21st, however the cooling off period ended on the 19th. Therefore they will remove the option 3 call plan from my account, but will only reduce it to call plan option1 and i must stay on this for the full 18month term!

Anyone any ideas on the best approach to cancelling my contract all together with them?

Sorry to hear of your problems with BT.

All I can say is that its BT at their best as usual, these indian calls centres are a total menace!!!
