I'm with A&L and they have a policy where all DD payments 10.00 and under do not get charged for bouncing.

So what happens to me, they authorise a £3.00 DD, I go 75p overdrawn and they whack me for £45 worth of charges (£5 per day for 9 days).

    How fair is that??!!

    thats disgusting!!!!!!
  • Have they given any kind of time scale for when they expect it to finish?
  • Apparently it will be sometime around july? I currently have a £2500 od with Halifax... which is mainly to do with their charges and total unhelpfulness (I do accept it was my problem too but the whole situation didn't help!) and I have put a claim in for nearly £2000. Hopefully if it goes well I'll get a load of it back therefore wiping out my exisitng debt to them! I was very annoyed to see all the 40 charges for £1 over limit for less than 24hrs, which then created a 28 charge and another 39 charge! They were really hammering me for it all!! Anyway am hoping that we will all get updates and all our illegally taken money back very soon :) 3k off my overall debt would make me much happier and decrease my DMP length lol! :)
Total Debt March 2008 - £9232.19  Virgin loans £5188.80, Halifax OD £2,456.94, Barclaycard £699.60, Virgin Credit card £532.25, Capitalone £354.60 (no idea as they refuse to send me statements now! updating figures as I get them!) DMP support thread member no 156

I really can't wait for this test case to be sorted. I have a claim for 3.5K pending from January last year.

I first submitted my claim in Jan, but was told they were well within there right to charge me. A second letter was sent in July. I never heard anything til January this year.

How can they justify what they charge? They say they are more Customer friendly with their new charges, between 9 and 16 pound per day while overdrawn. I got charged 150 last month for being 6 pound over my overdraft. I wonder if they will give me that sort of interest on my savings?

When you think about it they have you by the b@@ls. You can't get paid without a bank account, you can't pay bills without a bank account.
