BT my wife's card to new one in my name?

Hi,

Does anyone know if I can transfer the balance on the card in my wife's name to a new card in my name? She can't get any more cards and I'm looking to transfer the balance to a 0% deal we can pay off over the next 12-15 months.

Yes you can but you should be aware that you will become legally responsible for paying the debt back.

No disrespect intended, but if your situation should change you would end up having to pay your wife's debt.

Or you could look at cards that do a super balance transfer - these allow you to transfer money to your current account as well as another CC. This way, you would have cash to pay your wife's card.

Just make sure she doesn't spend on the cards again.
