Payment not received from Ebuyer

I don't sell much on ebay, but had a listing end last Wednesday, and have not received any payment or communication from the buyer. I sent an invoice for payment on the 13th. Can someone please advise, as I have never had a non payment before, so don't know what I do now. Do I send further invoices for payment and see what happens.

The purchaser has 48 feedbacks of which 1 is negative on 21 Oct 2006m and most of their feedback states quick payment.

Thanks
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.

I would send the buyer an email via ebay to say something like "I notice you haven't yet paid for x item which ended last Wednesday. Can you please let me know when you will be paying for this item? If I do not hear back from you by Thursday I will have to start the non-paying bidder process via ebay to recover my fees. If there are any problems or delays making the payment please let me know so we can work something out if possible."

A gentle reminder might be all that is needed. If you don't hear back from them by Thursday (you have to wait 7 days after the item ended anyway), follow the unpaid item dispute process. In 'my ebay' down the left hand side you will see 'Dispute Console', this will tell you what you need to do. It will send them a reminder invoice and if they don't respond will follow it up with giving them an unpaid item strike and I believe you get your fees back.

Ebays policy on this to follow is here: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/bidders_contact.html

If you accept cheques POs ,They may just be slow in posting, maybe on Saturday so it might come today or tomorrow.
I DO wish buyers would go through checkout and let sellers know how they intend to pay.

  • i normally send an email in the way of honeypop mentioned. Then if no response you really have no option but to start the non paying bidder process

Thanks Dotchas, but I only accept payment by Paypal, as stated in my listing. I've sent the email, and now await a response, although I suspect I won't hear anything and will have to start a dispute.
