in Credit cards
Hi,
I've got a quick question and was hoping someone would know the answer please.
I'm in credit by nearly £100 with a credit card - am I entitled to ask for the balance to be sent to me in a cheque or do I just have to spend the balance on the card?
Many thanks for any replies.

You can do either. Generally card issuers will refund a cheque pretty quickly, as if you are in credit you do not get the protection of section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

I'm sorry, I don't apologise. That's just the way I am. Homer (Simpson)0 -

Well capital one were really slow with me.You can do either. Generally card issuers will refund a cheque pretty quickly
Firstly they said 10 days to clear the "payment" even though it was a credit (cashback) from themselves.
Then is 14 working days to get a cheque.
So up to 5 weeks.
Some companies may of course be quicker.
The alternative is simply to buy some petrol/food on it, which might be easier.0 -
