  • miaoww I do the two bank account thingie (with the same bank). On payday I transfer everything but the money to cover my bills over to my 'spending' account. This is then all I have for the month. I keep up-to-date using online banking and for me it does work :D

Good luck whatever you decide :A

Just highlight the text and click the strike.gif button.

Or if you want to type the code in:

    [noparse][strike]Your text to strike through[/strike][/noparse] = [strike]Your text to strike through[/strike]
Ah how stupid of me , its because I nearly always use the quick reply.

    Cheers

Well i am with think banking and yes they charged £12.50 per month but when i get paid ( weekly ) they take out so much money and put it into a salaries account ( for the bills ) and the rest is put onto my card for me to use. I get paid every friday and i have a text at 8am every friday to let me know how much i was paid, how much they are keeping aside ( pre arranged amount ) and how much will be on my card to use. Also if a DD is not paid they do not charge you anything you are not charged the £30 - £35 as with other banks, so no vicious circle.

YOu know what ~ I do this ~ MYSELF ~ EVERY pay day and I dont even have a degree or anyfink

  • If you don't want to have 2 current accounts with your bank, another idea is to open a saving account (with your bank) , that has a cash card. You could then leave all your DD money in your current acount and have your spending money in a savings account. That way you would not risk going overdrawn on your new account.
