Every bank should ensure the DD's get paid... but if there's not money in the account to pay the DD's then they won't be paid simple as... it's down to you managing your money and DD's rather than changing accounts. :)

All you have to do is add up how much your DD's come to each month and withdraw whats left over. Why pay someone else a fee for doing something so simple? You could even open a second account to transfer your 'spare' money to and don't touch the one for DD's.

I think the thinkbankthing account is also run by/with Gregory Pennington, who run fee charging DMPs.

I suspect they see the account as great way to look for prospective DMP [STRIKE]victims[/STRIKE] clients.

Just highlight the text and click the strike.gif button.

Or if you want to type the code in:

    I'll do it for a fiver ~ did I undercut them :p

Seriously ~ all it takes is a simple spreadsheet and 5 mins of checking each day (if that) and you can spend their fee on you :D

Well i am with think banking and yes they charged £12.50 per month but when i get paid ( weekly ) they take out so much money and put it into a salaries account ( for the bills ) and the rest is put onto my card for me to use. I get paid every friday and i have a text at 8am every friday to let me know how much i was paid, how much they are keeping aside ( pre arranged amount ) and how much will be on my card to use. Also if a DD is not paid they do not charge you anything you are not charged the £30 - £35 as with other banks, so no vicious circle.

    Thanks for the advert.

miaoww (or anyone), you would be best off taking the other advice on this thread. Wouldn't touch thinkbanking with a very long *****y stick.

  • I like the idea but £12.50 per month could go to pay off you debts.
Our local Credit union does a similar thing (except without the dd & so's - it just stores the money in your share account. Then its available to pay bills at 14 days notice) and charges £3.00 per month. You get a meastro card that you can use at no cost for the first 10 purchases / withdrawals per month.
:) Embrace your inner Hillbilly :)
