Have used it as a debit card but not as a cheque card. Cant really see me ever using it to be fair plus not many places take cheques anymore0 -
I still make plenty of payments by sending a cheque via Royal Mail. Although, of course, those cheques don't need the guarantee number on them.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0

I occasionally use a cheque if I *need* to buy something desperately a few days before payday. I don't have a guarantee card, but I do this at work so I'm a known customer0

I have just asked Alliance and Leicester for a cheque guarantee card today, they said they will email the other department and i will have a decision next week.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

Is there anywhere you can still pay with cheques and a guarantee card?
I always thought what is the point of paying by cheque and handing over your guarantee card, when you could just pay on the same debit card.0 -

That's what your HSBC Master Card is for! Ditch the cheque and get up to 59 day of free credit with your card :jDo LTSB still do 100 Cheuqe cards?

I couldn't think of any high street shops that still accept cheques.0 -

Waitrose do, for certain; they're mainly used by the elderly and people scared of card fraud (thanks, media).
Of course, they're our main remaining avenue for payment fraud; card fraud happens so very rarely in-branch, thanks to Chip and PIN.0 -
