I know nothing about this at all, so if i use the wrong language or terms im sorry.
Ok, current toilet basin is cracked and leaking. Its currently seperate from the cistern and has tiles at the back of it and under the cistern.
I got a toilet/cistern off freecycle today that is only 2 yrs old, so saved money on that part. But this is an all in 1 job.
Can it be fitted and how difficult is it to do? OH wants to have a go, but im not confident its something easy to do, especially with tiles at the back of the current toilet/cistern.
If i got someone in to do all this, is it expensive?

Hi,
Is it the only wc in the house? If not then by all means have a go but be very careful as the cracked pan could come apart as it is taken out and cause a very nasty cut. It will be sharper than most knives .
There are free leaflets in wickes and b&q I think so good luck. The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -

If it has no flushpipe, then it is called a closecoupled wc, you will have to extend the soil pipe and alter the water conection.
Price will depend on your area, average price £75A thankyou is payment enough .0 -
Yes, only toilet in the house which is why i am a bit nervous about OH having a go.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160

make sure both waste exits are the same. ie straight or P shape.
you may require an extension piece, from say wickes.
and you will need to modify the water inlet connection to the cistern.Get some gorm.0
