Electrical Light Quote

Hi,

We have been quoted for doing some electical work. Its for
Fixing lights in the living room and outside the house. Fault finding on two more sets and fixing a couple of electical sockets. They quoted u ~£800

What do people think that should be?!

These jobs are generally 'how long is a bit of string' jobs, but I generally quote on a labour and materials basis.

On the assumption the job takes a day and a half and materials cost £100 max the price could be £550.
Would guess lower if there is no muppetry factor (lots of furnature, stuff in the road, clutter, dirty house, big angry dog [or wife ])

The hassle factor can add to a job, but if things are straight forward then you may be looking to pay less
