It's not a DVD, it's an offer to get the DVD0

I got it 2 weeks ago from the OEM site at microsoft.com0

I hope its better than the release candidate that I installed which subsequently prevented my DELL D620 from resuming from hibernation correctly....causing me to have to reboot it each time...and eventually revert back to XP.....
I had the same problem, but downloaded a fix from microsoft after following the help and it did resolve it.

Download at your peril theres plenty on the net suggesting its not ready yet with lots of shutdown problems ect. Also a lot of software is nowhere near ready yet as theve only just got used to vista anyway.
I would just like to add that I think vista is spot on barring a few very minor glitches on my laptop which came preinstalled and just had to uninstall some parts of it to get the best from it - just incase you thought i was one of the haters.
Give it a month or two for the SP1 upgrade to be on the safe side and let other people be the guinea pigs.
And also be aware that they might just add it to the auto update soon so be wary of getting it by accident.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j0 -

Possibly and very probable but some people got it by accident a few weeks ago when a glitch meant a few thousand or so where offered it in advance through auto until they noticed it.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j0

No. Service packs are critical updates and so WILL be added to the autoupdate, but it will be delayed compared to manual download as is standard practice, usually so it can relieve the burden on the servers and normally it's not rolled out to everyone all at once. They contain critical security fixes so although it may be fine putting it off for a while, to permanently not install it is foolhardy. The reason people get so much spam is because they're being sent by people's computers that aren't updated especially to the latest service pack."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I got it too from the same site, it's not the final version, the new one may have some extras including the anti-piracy hunt and destroy, so if your running a legit copy of Vista I'd get the new SP1, if your running a dodgy bypass (clock crack or bios emulator) both of which I've never heard of, I'd steer clear.I got it 2 weeks ago from the OEM site at microsoft.comThere are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't...0 -

DO NOT CLICK DOWNLOAD IF YOU ARE UPDATING JUST ONE COMPUTER: A smaller, more appropriate download is available on Windows Update.
