I got my monthly makro mail today and noticed they are doing a special on a double memory foam mattress from the 26 March.

Can anyone comment on this, seems quite cheap for a pocket sprung with memory foam mattress

There is a very good reason why it is so cheap..........because it has been made as cheaply as possible, and contains only the thinest possible layer of low density memory foam (probably just enough to get away with calling it memory foam.

The memory foam layer should be between 2" and 2 1/2" deep. Less than this and it won't contour to your body. More than this and it will engulf you and make you too hot, and also make it difficult to change position.

The density of the memory foam should be between 55kg per m3 and 80 kg per m3. The ideal is between 60 and 70kg, but it is down to personal taste.
