Help, I'm having a bad day! Does anyone know why my computer keyboard has suddenly begun to behave in a peculiar way? It type characters don't always appear and I seem to have to 'stab' the keys the get them to work. Would downloads have anything to do it? Any advice? Please?

    Hello the lady

I'll move your thread to the 'Techie Stuff' board.

1 of 2 things likely, its dirty (get the vac on it) or its broken (buy a new one) new keyboards from about a fiver upwards.

Could need cleaning/dusting (I use a compressed gas duster). It may be possible to take keyboard apart if it needs more than that. As for it being a software problem, seems very unlikely but it'd depend on the keyboard you have. For example if you had a Logitech keyboard I'd advise updating to the latest Setpoint software.
