eBay Affiliate programme changes April 1st

Although this news will mean squat all to many people, it's likely to have an affect on anyone who uses eBay misspell searches.

The current eBay Affiliate system pays people to refer buyers to eBay - through text links or misspell searches - and uses a service provider called Commission Junction, or CJ. eBay will soon be handling their own affiliate tracking system which means all of the links and tools that are currently being used will have to be re-programmed.

The programming coding will be released on April 1st, and the current coding switched off on April 30th.

So, from May 1st, if fatfingers and goofbay stop working, you'll know why!

Not a lot of changed & if you have a look at http://www.sandbox.ebay.co.uk/ you'll see the new coding isn't much different, just new ID's required.

It looks like eBay are just cutting costs by not paying CJ to do a job they can do themselves

Do you think it may just be a case of changing the PID of the rover url?
