Site Insurance

Options
Need help quick - am building my own house although the actual build isn't due to start for a year - the completion for the purchase of the site is this week. The mortgage co. Amber Homeloans have only just contacted us to say they need site insurance in place b4 funds are released even though its just a field at the moment - the cheapest I've found is £550 to cover 2 years building - I thought this might be a wee bit expensive - Anyone got any ideas?

makes no difference - its a public liability/employers liability thing - for the workers who will, eventually, be on site.
