Travel Insurance & expensive single items.

I'm looking to get our yearly travel insurance and on our next vacation I'll likely be taking my new dSLR camera. While I can get travel insurance that covers the total cost of the camera and lens, most policies have a limit of, say, £100 or £250 per single item.
This obviously isn't going to cover the cost of the camera and/or lens. So my question is this:
What is the best way to cover expensive single items like this?
TIA,
Steven.
EDIT: Nevermind, found the solution.... Home Insurance!

Personnel Possessions on a home policy is usually the best. If it is particulary valuable you may need to specify it.0

There is no substitute for taking care (and I'm not being flippant).
If a hotel porter (or similar) offers to take your bags then either refuse or make sure the person is the real deal and are taking them to the right place. I've seen people had their bags taken in front if their very own nose by a man dressed in the right gear who was assumed to be from the hire car comapny. He wasn't - he simply loaded their bags into a different vehicle and drove off - cash, passports and all.
My husband nearly had a bag taken at checkin in a hotel lobby by someone dressed as a porter. Fortunately he never took his hand off his luggage and refused to let anyone else handle it. Most people would no have noticed.
Buy a small cable lock.
Lock your bags to an ariport trolley, train or in the boot of the car.
Sounds OTT?
Maybe, but we've never had anything stol;en in 20 years so it's worthwhile IMO.
I saw off the very same conman who took the luggage of the other people who were simply "gassing". My husband on the other hand made sure personally that he saw our luggage going on to the correct vehicle (in fact he loaded it himself).0
