Can someone help me identify which lender this is?

Hello,

Currently in the process of looking for a mortgage, and have been following Martin's advice. So I've called the 4 main brokers. One of them (not the free one!) has found a product I'm pretty interested in, however he won't tell me who it is with.

I was wondering whether anyone may know what he was talking about. It's a 5 year fix at 5.59, £999 arrangement fee. He said they have a Fasttrack scheme, where because we are under 75% LTV they wouldn't need much paperwork, no payslips, no valuation needed (they just look on Rightmove apparently), and it is all very very quick to process as a result.

Agreement in Principle can be had in about 30 mins, complete offer in 12-15 days.

Anyone got any ideas at all as to who this may be? I hoped the rate info along with the Fasttrack stuff may ring a bell with someone.

Many thanks.

    :rotfl:

So you went to a broker who told you he charges and now you've decided you don't want to pay for the work?

Yes I know it's cheeky, but I've got to do what's best for me I'm afraid....and I'm only following Martin's advice

Sorry didn't mean to miss rate info out. I've amended the OP now!

Could be Bank of Ireland or Coventry.

Thanks for the suggestions. Just checked Coventry BS but their 5 yr fix is 5.99% so guess it's not them.

Looked at Bank of Ireland website - it's not very helpful. No rates on there, you have to call - I can't at the mo as I'm at work. But would Bank of Ireland lend to someone purchasing in England, I wasn't sure?

    Dont think its Abbey.

Why not use one of the brokers as they will do the work while you are at work!

Thanks again for the replies. Abbey do do fasttrack mortgages, but they can't guarantee that I will get one until I've actually applied :o Seems a bit odd, don't think it must be them.

Just tried YBS - I really don't think it is them who are the Fasttrack ones. I had a quick simple query and the lady kept me on the phone for over half an hour, despite my attempts to politely get away. Also you need a 2 hour in branch mortgage interview!!!!! Never come across that before, so definitely not Fasttrack!

No lender will guarentee a fastrack until you have applied. They will assess your case at AIP stage then again at app stage. They can ask for docs at any stage.

Have you asked one of the fee free brokers if they can source this deal.
As Dan says you still need to meet their criteria for fast track.
