I've had Bosch wipers and they are great... for about twenty minutes. I think I have Unipart blades now, which work well.

Did you complain to Bosch about the wipers? If so, what did they say/do?

I bought them in Halfords, it wasn't worth the grief. I was exaggerating with the 20 minutes but they didn't last long at all. I learned my lesson and avoid both Bosch and Halfords nowadays.

iv been using bosch wiper blades on my car for years now, havent ever had a problem with them.

worth bearing in mind that wiper blades like HT leads are service items - they are not designed to last more than a year of good use.

but my bosch didn't last longer than a couple of months of excellent use :mad:

I'll pop into Unipart tomorrow and see what they have to offer

I use Valeo Wipers on my Toyota Avensis (bought off ebay - about £12 inc postage) and they are great- toyota fit them as standard anyway.

It's not always the blade at fault so if your blades are juddering only in one wipe direction make sure the rubber is flipping over at the end of the arc. To correct this it's sometimes necessary to twist the arm slightly so the blade(s) will flip over, it's easy to determine which way by observation. Use a pair of pliers with something in the jaws to prevent marking the arm. Or if very,very brave, and not recommended, turn the blade to 90 degrees to the arm and use that to twist! Lift the arms away from the screen anyway for either method.

Sorry, off topic and I agree the staff should've told you but.....

Shouldn't you be checking the display to see what amount you are being charged anyway? Most PIN machines will tell you if you need to press anything before it prompts for your PIN...

The best wipers to get are the new Bosch Flat wipers, as fitted to most new vehicles, and been fitted to Volkwagens for years.
You can get them to fit any car now, and are much much better than any normal wiper blade.
