Book Exchange

My wife is a big reader and we have loads of books strewn throughout the house. We have just donated a lot of them to the charity shop, but it got me thinking, she spends a hell of a lot of money on these books just to give them away once they ahve been read.
So, wouldn't it be good to have a book exchange on the site.
i.e. you list a book you want to get rid of, and note what you would like in exchange. Then post the books off to each other. Instead of having to pay £10+ per book, it's the cost of postage.
Just an idea, but it may work.

There are plenty of sites that offer that service already, some even pay a small amount ..greemetropolis for example.
Also MSE has a policy that does not allow the exchange of personal details as per this rule:
EXCHANGING PERSONAL DETAILS
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: For legal reasons I have to discourage swapping, buying and selling on the forum (please see this rule). While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems (and has in the past). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The only problem I find with readitswapit is that if the person who wants to swap with you doesn't have a book you are looking for or vice versa, then the swap can't go ahead!
Are there any good sites where you can easily swap with multiple people depending on your interest rather than being limited by another single swappers listings of available books?!
Also, anyone found any particularly good sites for academic book swapping?Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. :A0 -
I also found the problem with ReadItSwapIt is that you both need to be able to agree on books you both want in order to be able to exchange. Bookmooch (www dot bookmooch dot com) overcomes this problem by allowing you to "buy" and "sell" books for points.0
