My renewel with barclays is due soon and I have been with them for about 11 years and found the prices seem to be getting higher every year and only noticed that theres a £1.50 per month charge if paying by DD monthly, I think that this is outrageous to be charged for actually buying something from them - anyway what I wanted to find out is :- I usually get my insurance over the phone as I get all the little extras(e.g,home & garden cover) that you cannot order online, is this the best way to do it, I would like to try online, can it be done through something like quidco and would I get all the little extras too?
many thanks

You can do all the things you ask about on line (including using quidco).
But you will have to shop around to get everything you want.
eg. Most companies charge you more for paying monthly rather than annually (you are causing them 12 times more admin, you have the use of your money throughout the year, etc), but you will find some that say "no charge" for monthly payments.
Whether or not the same insurance can be bought cheaper elsewhere (but with an extra charge for paying monthly) you will only know if you do the spadework!0
