Quick question. How do I disable the insert key. I know this has been answered before but can't find it. Thanks in advance.

Your right. A quick question and indeed a quick google of "disable insert key" gives you a quick answer:

1. Go to Start → Run → regedit
2. Go to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout
3. Right-click on the right half of the screen and choose New → Binary Value
4. Name the new Value Scancode Map
5. Enter 000000000000000002000000000052E000000000
6. Close regedit
7. Reboot.
8. Optional: you can take off the key of your keyboard and replace it when done.

Note editing the registry can be dangerous so be very careful and back it up first (google will tell you that also)

Thanks for your reply. However, I'm reluctant to do that with all the warnings! I remember doing it quite simply on my last keyboard and I'm sure the answer came from this forum. I just can't remember how!
