I am going 3rd April cant wait what is actually in the goody bag. Anyone else been would be great to hear what they liked or not.
:money: :money: :money:0 -
I went to the show last week and I loved it I like the tasting
and the samples of toffee vodka it sounds awful but its lovely.
also the coupon book is very good aswell as about £5 of coupons
you can collect a small box of thorntons moments free in any of
their stores and free milk in sommerfield or saimsburys i dont
remember the name of milk you get with voucher.
Then on the way out they were still handing books out at the front
door and the girl gave us another six so in all it was avery profitable
and enjoyable show although it is all on one level this time it used to
be upstairs aswell doing demonstrations but it is all level now.
So have a good time
I listed some of the freebies in the goodie bag nearer the top of

Did anybody else feel the show was not as good as previous years, no upstairs exhibitions and pockets of empty space??
Rather dissapointing considering this was the '100 years of inspiration'...
Will be giving the show a miss next year unless of course I win free tickets...!0 -
I'm with you daza, I was VERY disappointed considering it was a 100 years ann too. Even their past Autumn shows (also one floor was better). Vendors said stall prices were hiked up ridculously this year. Organisers obviously thought being 100 yrs all suppliers would automatically take part - well they were wrong! Avoid eco house, it was more interesting walking around IKEA!!!0

Went to the ideal home exhibition on saturday and notice lots of 'non-moneysavers' were just leaving their show guides lying around without claiming their goody bags, check first page to see if it has been initialled if not go and collect and dont forget to tear the £1 duck coupon out! Great moneysaving day0

Chequebooks given out at the door are worth £3.88 to Tesco voucher users. They took the store specific (to Asda) Black Magic, and the half-price Uncle Bens rice. On top of that there's the free Thorntons chocs (99p) and free Candia milk (tesco don't stock this) Plus several comps to enter. I managed to pick up about 30 :-) (they are usually in boxes at the side of the entrance) but I needed to get some for Mum too as she couldn't go this year! £5 voucher off Vitality show this weekend too, but that's still £12.
The Cif free samples each have a 50p off coupon in. Some of my cif leaked a bit, so watch out for that.
Also found a £5 show guide someone had abandoned, but they hadn't collected free goody bag, so that was a bonus!
You can get BOGOF on the entrance if you get the leaflet from your station and show your rail ticket. Otherwise one of these links should work

Don't think it matters which rail network you're on

Just got back from the exhibition - was very disappointed. I expected to spend several hours there as friends had done in previous years but was hard pushed to spend 3 hours there. Not worth the entry fee for those paying full price. Goody bag did not look worth the £5 being charged if you didn't have a show guide. Got 6 samples of CIF which also have a 50p off voucher in each and 7 of the coupon 'cheque books'. A fair few vouchers in the those. Thought most stuff was overpriced. Evening Standard paper being sold at the door for 50p with a free umbrella!! This was my first time of going but don't think I will bother again as not worth the travelling costs!0

I haven't been for years & I too went the same day as you. Not nearly as good as previous years. No second level. Hardley any freebies given out (except a thimble of toffee vodka_pale_ , which was horrible). We had a BOGOF ticket, I also would have been pleased at all, if I had paid full price. So because we had a BOGOF ticket, we got one goodie back, so the second ticket wasn't quite a full ticket:rolleyes: The one goodie bag we got had a tiny bottle of oil, some coffee, some cif, a bar of dark chocolate & I think 2 money off vouchers. Didn't get a voucher for thorntons, were was that susposed to be?
Catering wasn't great either. One restaurant. sausage & mash, fish & chips, shepards pie, jacket pots or salad bar. Meals were £8.0 -

MrsE the Thornton's voucher is in the cheque book which they gave you on entry. It's after the money off coupons just past the middle of the book!!!
We took sandwiches and water and tried afew of the cookery samples, food was expensive in the cafes there.0 -
Has anyone managed to change the MOC from the cheque book up ok??? There is £1 off Black Magic at Asda and I wonder if they accept it even if you don't buy it. Also there were some vouchers that said item stocked at Tesco or Morrison so again I wonder if Tesco will give the money off without buying the product.....I had 8 voucher books and it was back breaking taking out all the coupons lol!!!! That'll mean 8 litres of free UHT milk as there is a coupon in each book for that!!!!0
