Hi
I recently got married and changed my surname. I have one credit card under my maiden name still and need to transfer the balance to another card as the 0% is ending soon. I have just applied for a new one (under my married name) and have been refused. Could it be linked to the name change? What should I do? I am going to try another one but I don't want to be refused again.

My wife recently changed her surname to mine after getting married, she has had no problems, other than sending in copies of marriage certificates.
She also applied for a new Credit Card, she did it over the phone explaining the name change and got the card.Aiming to be debt free....but still off target0 -
