Not sure why the 1st April payments are early to be honest.
These are the dates given for Tax Credits (and I think Child Benefit will be the same).
I can only guess that 1st April payments are early due to the fact that there is some maintenance work going on with the Tax Credit systm at this time.
May also be something to do with it being the last week of the financial year.0 -
I usually get my tax credits on a Tuesday but over easter I have always received them on the Thursday before Good Friday. However last week I got them on Sat (I am putting this down to St Patricks day) and then got nothing paid in today as I was expecting. While I understand it was always a bonus getting them on the Thursday before easter, when its happened every year for the last four or five, its frustrating when it suddenly doesn't happen. Fingers crossed it might go in on Saturday.
BTW my bank was happy to take my direct debits out last Saturday as well even though they weren't due out til the Tuesday. good job my tax credits had gone in early0
