I had my car broken into and the radio stolen.
It was a Pioneer DEH-P6400R which cost me £300. I have sent the invoice to the insurance company.
The firm replacing it with a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP with a value of £200. Is this fair?

I wouldn't be happy with that - but that doesn't mean I'd be right?
Sorry I can't help.0 -
Technology evolves......! It's all about specification, if the replacement is a higher specification and is suitable for it's purpose then I would say this is acceptable.
However, if the new model has a differing specification from the original which hinders it's use then you have cause for complaint......

How did the specifications compare? Did you find the information useful? From a personal point of view I would be happy with the suggestion.0

I found the information useful. I don't think there is much difference I can see between them. The 7700 has the addition of a MP3 player how ever that works.
So you reckon I should accept this one?£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

I would definitely recommend an MP3 playing stereo. I upgraded mine specially to get this. :j
Basically - you write MP3s onto a blank CD as if it was a normal data CD, which means you can hold 200-300 songs (5 hours worth of music) on one disc. Then you put the disc in your stereo as normal.
You also have the advantage that it will normally give you the artist, song name, album, etc.
I have the majority of my CD collection on half a dozen discs on the back of my sun visor. I never get bored of the selection!
Best of luck,

Yes, the above poster suggests how to use the MP3 feature!! BONUS0 -
Definitely go for the MP3 option.. much quicker to flick between folders on an MP3 disc than between CDs on a multi-cd changer!Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication - Leonardo Da Vinci0
